With renewal talks at Real Madrid still stalled, Vini Jr.’s agent posted from a flight to London, fuelling rumours of Arsenal interest and a possible windfall for Flamengo.
Michael Yormark, president of ROC Nation Sports International, said on Instagram he was heading to London. The agency that manages Vinicius also represents 137 other athletes.
If the Flamengo academy graduate does not renew and Real Madrid decide to sell, Flamengo could receive five percent of any transfer via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism.
The 25-year-old is valued at about €140 million. His deal runs until mid 2027 and pays €15 million a year. For a new contract, he is seeking €20 million per season and one hundred percent of his image rights.
ROC Nation also represents RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande, a 19-year-old Ivorian who has been linked with Arsenal after standing out at this year’s World Cup.
Vinicius Júnior debuted for Flamengo at 16 in 2017, playing 69 games and scoring 14 goals. He joined Real Madrid in 2018 for €45 million, then a club-record sale. The next biggest was Lucas Paquetá’s move to Milan for €38.4 million.
