The United academy graduate certainly enjoyed the final outcome of Sunday's Steel City derby
Sheffield United supporters are still firmly basking in the glory of Sunday's 2-1 victory in the Steel City derby against Sheffield Wednesday at Bramall Lane.
It certainly is never a 'normal game' when the Blades and Owls lock horns in either S2 or at Hillsborough, although the context provided in the lead-up to the latest Championship meeting between the cross-city rivals meant there was every chance that United's supporters had the chance to see their side play a part in unwanted history from a Wednesday perspective.
Indeed, it has been well-documented that Henrik Pedersen's side have had their fate sealed in terms of a relegation to League One for some time, with the Owls being hit by the deduction of 18 points throughout the current campaign, whilst the Dane has been left with very little to work with in the way of on-pitch or financial resources as the club remain in takeover limbo.
Such a sorry state of affairs in S6, coupled with other results concerning Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich Albion, meant that Wednesday's relegation would be mathematically confirmed through nothing but a win at Bramall Lane, something which they had failed to do since 2009 beforehand.
Of course, United, as they were expected to, went on to win the fixture for the second time this season by two goals to one, although it wasn't for a lack of trying from the visitors, particularly after Kalvin Phillips' red card for a reckless tackle on Svante Ingelsson.
However, the Blades emerged victorious as a result of two early strikes from Patrick Bamford and Harrison Burrows to rubber-stamp their bragging rights in the city, as well as continuing their late play-off bid.
After the full-time whistle, one player who clearly loved the full-time outcome was United midfielder, Sydie Peck, and his actions and post-game words on social media have certainly sparked plenty of debate, including reactions from a former Blades teammate.

Despite originally hailing from Enfield in North London, it is clear that the time which Peck has spent progressing through the academy ranks in this part of the Steel City has seen him understand the importance of the Blades continuing to 'get one over' on their city rivals, even though Wednesday's dire straits have been well-publicised.
This was the fourth Steel City derby which the 21-year-old had played in, having featured in both 1-0 victories at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough last season, as well as playing the full 90 minutes in United's 3-0 success in S6 on November 23rd.
Just like that afternoon, the England youth international provided an assist as he set up Burrows for his stunning 19th-minute strike on Sunday afternoon.
However, that particular incident wasn't the main one which had Peck at the front and centre of discourse, as the midfielder was seen celebrating in front of the 2,000 Wednesday fans in the lower tier of the Bramall Lane stand at full-time, which, unsurprisingly, some of the visiting players didn't take lightly.
"4 Sheff Derby’s, I’ll pocket the 4 Ws. Thanks and goodbye," he added.
This was met by former United favourite and current VfL Wolsfburg midfielder, Vini Souza, who responded with a laughing emoji, clearly finding his ex-colleague's stance on developments humourous.

With Wednesday's relegation now confirmed as the earliest-ever on EFL records, there is still the possibility that United could be two divisions above their Steel City rivals next season.
The Blades have certainly gathered plenty of momentum of late under the management of Chris Wilder, and could move to within six points of the play-off places if they were to defeat the league leaders, Coventry City, in a second home game within three days this evening.
