Vinicius snatches late winner as Santa Clara climb to 13th

Santa Clara beat Gil Vicente 1-0 as Vinicius struck in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time at Estádio de São Miguel to lift the hosts from 14th to 13th.
Gabriel Silva tested Lucão early, the goalkeeper saving from a right-sided effort (3.).
Midway through the first half, Gil Vicente lost Marvin Elimbi to injury, with Antonio Espigares introduced.
After the restart, the hosts turned to the bench. José Tavares and Vinicius arrived just after the hour and added thrust.
Five minutes were indicated, and the breakthrough came in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time when Vinicius drilled into the bottom right, Tavares supplying the pass after a corner.
Gil Vicente failed to register a shot on target. Gabriel Batista was largely untroubled behind a defence that made 36 clearances.
Santa Clara produced seven attempts with two on target and held 54% possession.
The hosts have now won three league games in a row. Santa Clara visit Sporting CP next. Gil Vicente host AVS next.
