Vinícius Jr. sends message to Erling Haaland after Brazil’s World Cup exit | OneFootball

Brazil and Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. sent a message of well wishes the way of Erling Haaland and Norway, in the aftermath of Sunday’s clash between the countries.

This of course comes after the former were left stunned by the utter brilliance of Manchester City’s goalscorer extraordinaire.

En route to Norway booking a surprise spot in the quarter-finals of this summer’s World Cup, Haaland proved himself the undisputed star of the show.

After finding himself a passenger for much of the 90 minutes, the 25-year-old exploded into life during the 2nd-half, nodding home an opener before putting the finishing touches on a 2-1 Norwegian triumph with a stunning 2nd from the edge of the penalty area.

Speaking to the media after seeing his country’s campaign on international football’s grandest stage brought to an end, the aforementioned Vinícius was therefore drawn on Haaland’s brilliance.

And the Real Madrid standout went on to respond:

“We can only congratulate Haaland and Norway. Congrats to them.”
