Grêmio were beaten 2-0 by São Paulo at Morumbis in the third round of the Brasileirão, a display riddled with individual errors.

Per Globo.com, Wagner Leonardo received the lowest rating for the visitors. He began steadily, then took a needless booking and was sent off for grappling Calleri.

Weverton conceded a penalty and could not keep out the kick, but he later saved a second spot-kick after Gustavo Martins felled Enzo Díaz. The substitute defender was clumsy in cover.

João Pedro left space and was often late, while Balbuena struggled for speed and in cover. Marlon erred in build-up and offered little going forward. Noriega covered centrally and tried to calm things but lacked support.

Edenílson’s role was unclear across 39 minutes on the pitch. Arthur Melo lacked his usual intensity and was distant in his marking. Willian was dispossessed after holding on too long, and the second goal stemmed from that loss of possession.

Tetê failed to produce, running into traffic and playing too individually. Enamorado drifted through the game as the team lost shape. Carlos Vinícius was isolated, André squandered a clear opening with a weak shot wide, and Amuzu barely featured.

Pavón came on and largely worked as a full-back, adding little beyond defensive work. Head coach Luís Castro saw his side outplayed and his substitutions made no impact.
