Barcelona star Ronald Araújo has this week come in for a fresh round of criticism.

This comes owing to the latest performance produced by the central defender on the international stage.

Araújo was for his part in from the off in the early hours of Wednesday, as Uruguay closed out their schedule for the November break in a meeting with the USA.

When all was said and done in an outing to forget for the Celeste, however, they found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a concerning 5-1 result.

A whole host of leading members of Marcelo Bielsa’s squad were in turn singled out for heavy condemnation post-match.

And not escaping such wrath was the aforementioned Ronald Araújo.

Of a string of less than impressive contributions on the part of the stopper, one particular moment has since been widely highlighted by those of a Barcelona and Uruguay persuasion alike.
