Fan footage of the stunning goal netted by Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez on Sunday has come to the fore online.

Atlético, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

As part of the penultimate round of fixtures of the La Liga campaign, Diego Simeone’s troops welcomed Real Betis to the Spanish capital.

When all was said and done, the Rojiblancos emerged dominant victors, by four goals to one.

And the aforementioned Julián Alvarez played a starring role en route to as much…

The Argentine notched two of his side’s four goals on the evening, including a late contender for Goal of the Season in Spain’s top-flight.

Inside the opening 10 minutes at the Metropolitano, Alvarez stood over a free-kick a full 30 yards from goal.

And after it quickly became clear that the former Manchester City man intended to take aim at the visitors’ net, Alvarez went on to bend nothing short of a sensational strike into the top corner.
