The latest summer addition to the first-team ranks at La Liga outfit Real Betis was brought to tears after speaking for the first time since his return on Monday.

The player in question? Adrián.

For those not aware, goalkeeper Adrián’s move back to the Estadio Benito Villamarín was made official earlier today.

After the veteran shot-stopper sought out a return to Spain in favour of remaining as 3rd-choice between the posts at Premier League giants Liverpool, Real Betis quickly made their interest in his signature known.

As much comes owing to the departure of another experienced campaigner from Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, in Claudio Bravo.

After a swift negotiation process between the two parties, Adrián, in turn, agreed to the terms of a contract with Betis, spanning through the summer of 2026.

And, as alluded to above, his return to former stomping grounds in Seville evidently marks something of a dream come true for the 37-year-old.

Speaking as part of his unveiling as a Verdiblancos player on Monday, Adrián could not help but shed a tear, when discussing his pride at linking back up with his boyhood club.

“I left, but I never stopped being here,” the Spaniard assured, in footage unveiled across Betis’ social media platforms a short time ago:
