FC Bayern have reached the semi-finals of the Champions League after their spectacular 4:3 win over Real Madrid – and are now looking ahead to their next top clash against Paris Saint-Germain. It is a reunion with an old acquaintance that once again promises soccer at an absolute world-class level
The two teams already met in the league phase, when Munich won 2:1 in Paris, but the starting position has changed – and the respect for the French top club is also great
Manuel Neuer is expecting another close encounter: „Our matches in recent years have always been close, both in the Champions League and at the Club World Cup. These two games will be no different.“ At the same time, the Bayern captain is looking forward to the upcoming games with great anticipation – also because of his own fans: „I’m looking forward to the game in Paris and then here in front of our fans. They were fantastic tonight.“
Harry Kane was also confident, without underestimating the task: „We feel strong, we feel we can beat anyone if we play at our highest level.“ A clear statement – and at the same time a hint that it will take precisely this top performance against PSG
For Joshua Kimmich, it is an absolute top match: „The two best teams in Europe are meeting.“ Words that underline the dimension of this semi-final

While the players are full of confidence, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has a slightly more cautious tone. For him, PSG are slight favourites for the clash: „If there is a favourite in the semi-final, then it is Paris Saint-Germain. They have beaten Liverpool twice convincingly and are the defending champions.“
Nevertheless, Dreesen made it clear that FC Bayern has nothing to hide: „We are one of the contenders for the title.“
The starting position is therefore clear: on the one hand, a self-confident FC Bayern, full of energy after the Real win, and on the other, a PSG team with a broad chest as defending champions
Fans can look forward to two matches that have everything that makes the Champions League special: world-class players, big names and maximum excitement. For Bayern, it’s about taking the next step towards the final – and the chance to crown an already impressive season.
