PSG v Liverpool Tip - Back a goal glut in Paris

Liverpool did a smash and grab in Paris last season but they're 7/2 to win this game and going by their dismal defeat at Man City those odds are too short - as if they down tools again then PSG, just 3/4 favourites, could run riot here.

Arne Slot's only chance of saving his job is to win this and that means still being in the tie heading back to Anfield, but even then PSG have somehow wangled the weekend off in between the ties so it's almost impossible to make a case for the Reds here.

Liverpool do have quality, they've been generally better in the Champions League than domestically and PSG aren't perfect - Bayern won here, Newcastle and Monaco have drawn and both Chelsea and even Tottenham gave them plenty of problems despite losing 5-2 and 5-3 respectively.

Five of PSG's last six home games have had over 3.5 goals in as well and this could easily follow suit - PSG are clinical and Liverpool make plenty of mistakes, but the Reds will get their chances and need to keep this tie alive for the second leg.

Back 5/1 Bet Builder with Betfair offer

The Betfair Bet £10 Get £10 Sportsbook offer won't be around forever, and Wednesday's suggestion is a pretty simple treble with a pratty nice return, centred on PSG winning the match, which looks too good to turn down at almost evens.

Liverpool have been surrendering shots on target all season but even more so recently, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be a nightmare for their bedraggled defence, so is well worth backing 11/10 for 2+ shots on target. He's landed this in four of six outings including in just a half-four cameo against Chelsea.

Dominik Szoboszlai has hit the target in his last eight Champions League games and there's no reason to suggest that run will end in Paris.

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid Tip - Free-scoring Barca too good at 6/4

This is a pretty tasty tie too as these Spanish rivals meet for the second time in four days and fifth time this season. Barcelona are 8/15 match favourites at home and have won three of the four meetings so far, while Atletico did thump Barca 4-0 in Madrid but are 4/1 for victory at the new Camp Nou after losing both previous trips 3-0 and 3-1 this season.

That's a huge price for a Diego Simeone side away in a cup tie, but his current squad haven't won an away leg of a Champions League knockout tie in the past six and have lost four in six on the road - while they're winless in 25 trips to Barca's now newly rebuilt home ground.

And they're just not the tough old warriors of old and they concede plenty - 15 of their last 17 UCL games have seen both teams score - and Hansi Flick's free-scoring Barca have won eight of their last nine home games by 3+ goals. Throw in Atleti conceding 3+ goals in five of their last six aways and it spells trouble for the visitors.
