Chelsea winger Pedro Neto has given a very good lesson on how to talk in public when you are associated with Chelsea Football Club.
The news comes off the back of Chelsea getting an essential three points on Saturday afternoon by beating Everton 1-0 at home after a fantastic first half goal from striker Nicolas Jackson ending his 2025 goal draught.
It was far from an easy game for Chelsea though, and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez became the unlikely hero and was actually the reason that they could see the win out and collect all three points, making some big second half saves to deny certain goals.
Another one of Chelsea’s best players on the pitch was defender Trevoh Chalobah and really, he was a strong candidate for man of the match too. Enzo Maresca defended Chelsea’s decision to let him go on loan in the summer after then recalling him in the winter.
The Blues are now in Conference League action tonight in the semi-final first leg against Djurgarden in Sweden and are fully focused on lifting a trophy this season.
Pedro Neto’s controversial celebration.
Any player or staff member at Chelsea should take note of these comments from Neto, because this is exactly the kind of mentality fans want to hear.
Neto when asked what he fears the most about Djurgarden:
“We’re Chelsea, we don’t fear anyone, we focus on ourselves.”
He also went on to say:
“It’s really important [to win the Conference League]. It’s a really important competition. It’s a European competition, which everyone wants to win for sure. It’s always important.
“We want to win this competition more than ever. It’s always a trophy for everyone, and we are really looking forward to this next match.”
And on the top 5 race:
“We know that we have a hard finish, but we are Chelsea and we live for these moments.
“What we have to do is win the last four games and we know we achieve our goal with that. The club that we are, I think the fans will only be happy with those goals, and that’s us as a team as well.
“Us as a team, we know that we are having a good season, but it is our goal to achieve that, and it is what we are working for.
“I think the mindset of the players should be that, because we are big club, we have a very good team and we can finish in the top four.”
