West Brom have been handed a lift for the final day, with Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Svante Inglesson ruled out of Saturday's meeting at Hillsborough.

"No, he will not be available. But he will be fit in the next two or three weeks so he can do all what he has to do in the pre-season," said manager Henrik Pedersen, who was speaking to the Sheffield Star.

Wednesday have been on minus points for much of the campaign after entering administration, and are hoping to give supporters something before relegation to League One.

A sell-out is expected, while Albion, already safe, will arrive in party mood as James Morrison's side chase 11 games unbeaten.

Inglesson, 27, is considered one of the club's standout players and was loosely linked with Albion in January amid wider Championship interest.

He has missed recent matches with a knee issue, so any hope of a final-day return has gone. He has played his last game for the Owls and looks likely to move on this summer.

This week he shared Wednesday's player of the year award with Liam Palmer, who also received an outstanding achievement honour after passing 500 appearances for the club.
