West Brom believe they have fully complied with the EFL’s Profitability and Sustainability rules after being charged by the league over an alleged breach.
The club said in a statement that it will continue to work with the EFL’s Club Financial Reporting Unit to resolve the issue, acknowledged media coverage of the matter, and would not comment further at this stage.

The Baggies, battling to avoid relegation to the Championship, could face a points deduction, a fine or a transfer ban if found guilty.
Albion are two points above the drop zone, so any sanction could shape the survival fight off the pitch.
The immediate priority remains James Morrison’s side delivering in the final four games to finish above the bottom three.
