West Ham United are exploring potential legal action against the Premier League following some controversial decisions from match officials, according to Claret and Blue Army.

West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was left gutted after VAR denied the Hammers a crucial point against Arsenal at the London Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors secured a 1-0 victory but the Irons believe they should have been awarded the goal which was eventually ruled out.

West Ham are now ready to take action for other earlier calls this season that did not go their way, and the Hammers’ senior officials and legal team are ready to go to court.

The defeat to Arsenal means the relegation battle is now only between the Irons and Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United on Monday, and West Ham are just two points away from safety heading into the final two games of the season.

They take on Newcastle United and Leeds in their remaining fixtures while Tottenham play Chelsea and Everton.

All these clubs have something to play for as qualification for European football and the prize money for the different finishing positions in the table are expected to inspire them.

West Ham have to win against Newcastle and Leeds and hope Spurs drop points to have any chance of staying up.

Getting relegated could push them to take legal action against the Premier League, but it will not restore their top-flight status and they have to concentrate on escaping the drop right now.

VAR and some of the officiating have been far from perfect this term and West Ham are unlucky to be at the receiving end of some questionable decisions.
