Felipe was expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks with a calf problem.

The 22-year-old joined the club from Gil Vicente in a €20 million deal in January.

He has missed the last five fixtures in all competitions due to a calf injury. The striker has yet to register a goal or assist in six appearances for the Hammers.

However, his work rate has been very impressive, and he has become popular with the West Ham fans due to his unrelenting tenacity on and off the ball.

He bagged ten goals and one assist in 13 games in the Portuguese top-flight earlier this season before joining West Ham.

Felipe could be back for the trip to Aston Villa on March 22 or even earlier.

West Ham host Brentford in the fifth round of the FA Cup next Monday before facing Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Hammers are 18th in the table heading into the final nine league games of the season

Only a superior goal difference separates them from 17th-placed Nottingham Forest, and there is just a point between them and Tottenham Hotspur in 16th position.
