West Ham welcome Tottenham to their side of London on Sunday hoping for a morale-boosting win.

Both teams are enduring a miserable Premier League season as 17th hosts 16th at the London Stadium. While Spurs have bigger fish to fry, given this game sits between two legs of a Europa League semi-final.

Spurs will surely rotate heavily ahead of a tricky trip to Norway, giving the Hammers an opportunity for a first home win over their rivals since 2021.

Manager Graham Potter has not had the desired impact since being appointed, but a statment derby win will go some way to appease any dissenting voices.

Date, kick-off time and venue

West Ham vs Tottenham is scheduled for a 2pm BST kick-off on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

The match will take place at the London Stadium in east London.

Evan Ferguson is available for selection again after being ineligible last week to face his former club, Brighton. Otherwise, it is a case of as you were with Edson Alvarez set to be assessed ahead of the game.

Crysencio Summerville has undergoing surgery on a thigh injury and is not expected to return before the end of the season.

Tottenham will make a number of changes, with Lucas Bergvall ruled out for the rest of the season and both Dominic Solanke and James Maddison considered serious doubts for the weekend. Heung-min Son will also again miss out but could return next week.

The likes of Kevin Danso, Djed Spence and Ben Davies should all come into defence, while Pape Sarr and Dejan Kulusevski should make up the midfield. Richarlison may lead the line, being supported by Mathys Tel.

West Ham vs Tottenham prediction

West Ham will have fewer better opportunities to beat their fierce rivals. With Spurs set to make changes and struggling for form, the Hammers have little excuse for not handing them their 20th league defeat of the season.

Though the hosts’ form is equally as miserable. It is now zero wins in seven, with their last victory coming against the league’s whipping boys in relegated Leicester.

A shocking collapse at Brighton last time out - conceding twice in the final minutes to lose 3-2 - will be hard for the Hammers squad to shake off, while those coming in for Spurs could be playing for minutes in the semi-final a few days later.
