Andrey Santos was delighted with his first Premier League goal for Chelsea, and we can’t wait to see how he develops.

Andrey Santos has had a solid first season at Chelsea, one which has largely been overshadowed by lots of drama around managers and some dreadful results since the Spring.

But last night he got his first Premier League goal – and it was against Tottenham, to boot. After the game he spoke to the Chelsea official website about his feelings on a great moment for him and the team.

“It’s special for me because it was my first goal in the Premier League and it came in my first game against Spurs. I’m so happy because we won this game, and now we have to move on to the last game,” Santos said with a grin on his face.

“I’m so happy with this performance. I even looked at my phone after the game, and my wife had sent me a message saying, ‘Wow, what’s happened with you today?’ I said, ‘I don’t know, but I’m so happy, and I want that to happen more times!’”

We can’t wait to see how he gets on under Xabi Alonso.
