The rebuild being undertaken at Manchester City gained another piece of the long-term puzzle after Argentine starlet Claudio Echeverri signed on.

In the wake of a January window that included deals for Omar Marmous, Nico González, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, and Juma Bah, and earlier summer business for Savinho, it's clear that club chiefs have an eye for the future as the senior squad has been given a fresh coat of paint.

Echeverri, however, has already been at the club since January of last year after rising through the ranks at River Plate but was allowed to go back on loan for 12 months to better aid in his development.

While wearing the armband for Argentina's U20 side, and regularly featuring for River across the 2024 season, Echeverri has produced one display after another that showcased technical grace.

Noted as a gifted playmaker who can break teams down with individual flair, fans may be buzzing at the prospect of seeing his name in lights for years to come.
