Arsenal's Kai Havertz faces a period of uncertainty after the club confirmed the 26-year-old forward requires surgical intervention to address a knee problem.
While the procedure itself is reportedly minor and not expected to prolong his recovery significantly, medical staff have been unable to provide a definitive timeline for his return to competitive action.
This setback comes after the German international missed a substantial portion of the previous season with a separate hip injury, though the club remains optimistic that his rehabilitation from this latest issue will progress more swiftly. Since his high-profile €75 million move from Chelsea in 2023, Havertz has established himself as an important contributor, making 88 appearances while directly contributing to 42 goals (29 goals, 13 assists).
With his current contract binding him to the Emirates until 2028 and a market valuation estimated at €65 million, his absence will be closely monitored by both the medical team and supporters alike.
