The World Cup is fast approaching with England finalising their preparations for the 2026 tournament.
Thomas Tuchel’s team head to North America this summer with ambitions of winning a first major tournament in 60 years. A flawless qualification campaign has increased optimism, ahead of England’s first group game of the expanded 48-team finals.
England face Croatia in their first fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, on Wednesday June 17th. The game will take place at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas (Dallas).
The fixture represents a rematch of the 2018 semi-final between the teams. England and Croatia also met in their respective opening fixtures at Euro 2020.
Following the game with Croatia, England will take on Ghana at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass. (Boston), and Panama at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J. (New York) in the group stages.
Thomas Tuchel’s team face two World Cup warm-up games before the tournament begins. The Three Lions face New Zealand at Raymond James Stadium on June 6th, before meeting Costa Rica at the Inter&Co Stadium on June 10th.
