An insight into the finer details of the agreement reached between La Liga giants Real Madrid and Fulham over the transfers of Gonzalo García and César Palacios has been forthcoming online.

This comes courtesy of confirmation regarding exactly when Los Blancos will have the opportunity to bring the two Spaniards back to base, should they opt for such a move.

Both frontman Gonzalo and midfielder Palacios saw their departures from the Santiago Bernabéu made official on Monday night.

After weeks of negotiations between the parties, the Real Madrid academy duo swapped Spain’s capital for its English equivalent, at the direct request of new Fulham head coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

And as alluded to above, with the dust having now settled on the respective transfers, details of some of the fine print in the contracts of Gonzalo and Palacios at Craven Cottage have come to the fore…

The info comes courtesy of The Athletic, who have confirmed:

‘Madrid will retain 30 per cent of any future sale, a right of first refusal and exclusive buy-back clauses from the second season onwards.’

This means that, should their former duo go on to impress in the Premier League, the Bernabéu brass will have the option to bring Gonzalo and Palacios back to La Liga for a set fee at any point from the summer of 2027.
