Since their relegation to the Championship in 2015, QPR haven’t looked like realistically securing a promotion back to the top-flight, finishing in the second-tier’s top 10 on just a single occasion.

There is a fresh sense of optimism at Loftus Road however, after a summer of change saw Julien Stephan take over from Marti Cifuentes as manager.

In came players such as Richard Kone, Kwame Poku and Koki Saito, who all represent exciting options that the Rs’ new boss has at his disposal.

Despite this business, it’s hard to argue that Ilias Chair isn’t still Queens Park Rangers’ biggest attacking threat.

The playmaker moved to Loftus Road in 2017 and has gone on to make over 270 appearances for QPR in that time.

Chair’s ability to beat players and create attacking opportunities has seen him become one of the club’s most valuable players over the past decade.

But just how valuable is the Moroccan compared to the rest of QPR’s squad? Football League World has taken a look at what Chair’s estimated price tag is and how that compares to his teammates.

Chair has consistently been one of QPR’s top performers during his time at the club, which is reflected in the valuation of each player in the Rs’ current squad.

According to Transfermarkt, the 27-year-old is worth £5.2 million, which makes him the most valuable player Queens Park Rangers currently have contracted.

Other players with notable price tags are Jimmy Dunne and Nicolas Madsen, who are reportedly valued at £3.5 million and £3 million respectively.

Kone is an operator who has seen his valuation rise in recent times, with the striker now predicted to be worth £2.8 million.

However, nobody in QPR’s squad gets close to Chair’s total, further highlighting his importance to the team.

Julien Stephan will be eagerly awaiting Ilias Chair’s return

Chair is undoubtedly one of QPR’s most important assets, even if the likes of Kone and Poku may be sold for an even higher price than his £5.2 million valuation in the future.

However, the Rs haven’t been able to utilise his services this season, due to the forward suffering with a hamstring injury.

The 27-year-old has appeared just twice all campaign with his last outing coming against Watford in mid-August.

Chair has recently been involved with training, which could hint towards a return in the near future. This would be a huge boost for Stephan’s side and could solidify their ambitions to push for a play-off place.
