Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final against West Ham could be Lucas Perri’s final Leeds United appearance, with Karl Darlow now firmly first choice.

According to Leedsunited.news, Perri joined from Lyon for about £15.6m to steady the position and be the long-term number one, but the hierarchy has shifted quickly.

Daniel Farke has turned to Darlow, whose recent consistency and clean sheets have restored control, leaving little incentive to rotate.

Perri has made 16 Premier League appearances, but his recent outings have been in the cups against Birmingham, Norwich and Derby.

With seven league games remaining, all signs point to Darlow keeping the gloves. If Farke follows his cup pattern he could start, although that is not guaranteed.

The wider picture includes links to Middlesbrough’s Sol Brynn, while Darlow could agree a new deal. Perri could slip to third choice, and in that case may seek a summer exit.
