One of the biggest pieces of squad news to emerge ahead of the clash is that midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is set to be dropped to the bench.

While this news broke earlier today, what hasn’t emerged is the exact reason why Camavings is set to be benched.

It would appear that the absence of Camavinga won’t be down to injury, as the French star is fully fit and was previously expected to start against Atlético this evening.

On the contrary, it would appear that Carlo Ancelotti is simply changing things up ahead of tonight’s mammoth clash.

Luka Modric is set to take Camavinga’s place, with the veteran set to play in a double pivot with Aurélien Tchouaméni. Jude Bellingham is set to complete the midfield, bringing an attacking element to the centre of the park.
