‘Why is he playing?’ – Barcelona star was left shocked by Robert Lewandowski’s introduction vs Inter Milan | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was left taken aback upon teammate Robert Lewandowski being introduced to the fray during the club’s most recent outing.

That’s according to Diario Sport, citing Barça Reservat’ of Catalunya Ràdio, who point towards Jules Koundé as the player in question.

Barcelona were of course back in action on the continent this past Tuesday night.

After making the trip to Italy for the 2nd leg of a Champions League semi-final tie with Inter Milan, the Blaugrana were ultimately sent packing from the competition owing to a 4-3 defeat.

The aforementioned Robert Lewandowski was for his part introduced off the bench in the clash, following a recent spell on the sidelines through injury.

One individual evidently of the opinion that the Pole was in no fit state to contribute, though, is Jules Koundé.

Himself sidelined at present, defender Koundé was spotted in attendance in the crowd at San Siro on Tuesday.

And upon Lewandowski being thrown into the fray by boss Hansi Flick late on, the Frenchman, it is claimed, was caught on camera stating:

“I don’t know why Lewandowski plays. He shouldn’t play as he is!”
