Manchester City will entertain Burnley at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian outfit managed to earn a solid 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town recently, so they would be full of confidence going into this game.
Pep Guardiola will stick with the 4-1-4-1 formation and is expected to name a strong first team for this clash. However, Man City would be sweating on the fitness of Erling Haaland, who is a slight concern ahead of this game.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will return in between the sticks for Man City after being rested in midweek. Ruben Dias will resume his partnership with Josko Gvardiol at the centre of Guardiola’s defence as they look to keep the Burnley attackers quiet throughout the game.
Matheus Nunes could fill in as the right-back, while Nico O’Reilly looks to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Nathan Ake and John Stones will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Rodri will operate as the defensive midfielder as he looks to break plays down at the centre of the park. Both Tijjani Reijnders and Bernardo Silva will operate just ahead of him as the box-to-box midfielders.
Phil Foden will fill in as the right-winger, while Jeremy Doku hopes to impress as the left-sided wide player. Both of them will try to get in behind the Burnley defence at every chance they can.
Nico Gonzalez, Savinho and Oscar Bobb will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.
Erling Haaland will lead the charge for Man City in the final third if he can pass a late fitness test. The Norway international has enjoyed a rich vein of form of late and would be looking to make a difference for his team this weekend.
Divin Mukasa will make up the numbers on the bench as he awaits his opportunity to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if needed.
