Will Harry Kane be in the starting eleven? How Bayern start at Real Madrid | OneFootball

In around an hour’s time, FC Bayern will host Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final. We bring you the starting line-ups for the game.

After their late 3-2 win against SC Freiburg, Munich will be looking to make an international statement at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu and secure a good starting position for the second leg at the Allianz Arena. In view of the enormous importance of the clash, coach Vincent Kompany will be fielding his best possible squad – despite a number of players who have been injured recently.

Vincent Kompany has made five changes to his starting XI compared to the game in Freiburg, with Manuel Neuer again in goal and Konrad Laimer, Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah and Josip Stanisic forming the back four.

In central midfield, Kompany will this time rely on Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic, who has recently had to take a short break due to hip problems. Leon Goretzka, who started against Freiburg, moves to the bench.

Kane back – Bayern offense with top line-up

In attack, the Bayern coach can once again draw on a full complement. Harry Kane returns to the starting eleven after recovering from ankle problems and takes on the role in the center of the attack. There was a lot of uncertainty in Munich about his involvement, but he seems to be fit in time for the clash. Serge Gnabry moves back to the ten-man position.

Michael Olise and Luis Díaz start alongside Gnabry in the attacking front three, while Lennart Karl, who started against Freiburg and scored the decisive goal in stoppage time, is initially on the bench.

Jamal Musiala is also on the bench for the time being, as is the recovered Alphonso Davies.
