Wilson’s late free-kick seals Fulham comeback against Brighton | OneFootball

Fulham earned a dramatic 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Craven Cottage thanks to a stunning 92nd-minute free-kick from Harry Wilson, moving Marco Silva’s side up to seventh in the Premier League and leaving Brighton in 12th.

Brighton took the lead in the first half when Yasin Ayari cut inside from the left and fired a low, powerful shot past Bernd Leno in the 28th minute.

They almost doubled their advantage shortly after, but Leno and a timely clearance from Timothy Castagne kept the Cottagers in the game.

After the break, Fulham responded strongly. Substitute Samuel Chukwueze raced onto Joachim Andersen’s precise long ball and calmly slotted past Bart Verbruggen in the 72nd minute.

The Seagulls appeared to regain the lead moments later, but Danny Welbeck’s strike was ruled out for a tight offside, and a follow-up header was tipped over.

With the match heading for a draw, Wilson stepped up in stoppage time, curling a brilliant free-kick into the top corner to spark wild celebrations.
