Wirtz Gets 9, Ekitike With 8 | Liverpool Players Rated In Narrow Win Vs Wolves

Liverpool welcomed Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 41st minute when Ryan Gravenberch found the back of the net. Florian Wirtz doubled Liverpool’s advantage just a minute later as Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
Santiago Bueno got a goal back for the visitors in the 51st minute as the contest finished with Liverpool securing a narrow 2-1 win at Anfield.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the clash against Wolves.
GK: Alisson Becker – 6.5/10
He made a few solid saves during the game but failed to keep a clean sheet.
RB: Jeremie Frimpong – 7/10
Frimpong was a positive influence at both ends of the field and was tidy with his passing.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6.5/10
He cleared the danger when needed and was a strong presence in the air.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7/10
Van Dijk was a rock at the back and won his fair share of aerial duels.

LB: Milos Kerkez – 7/10
He caught the eye at times on both ends of the pitch.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 8/10
Gravenberch anchored the midfield with conviction and managed to score the opener with a good finish in the 41st minute.
CM: Curtis Jones – 7/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles and retained possession well in the opponent’s half.
RW: Federico Chiesa – 6/10
Chiesa worked hard defensively but lacked quality in the final third.
CAM: Alexis Mac Allister – 7/10
He caught the eye at times in the final third, but there was no goal for him.
LW: Florian Wirtz – 9/10
Wirtz made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball and managed to find the back of the net in the 42nd minute.
ST: Hugo Ekitike – 8/10
Ekitike managed to cause a few problems for the opposition defenders and ended the game with an assist to his name.
RB: Conor Bradley – 7/10
