Palmeiras continued their preparations on the afternoon of this Friday (30th) at the Football Academy for the match against Botafogo-SP on Sunday (1st) at the Santa Cruz Stadium in Ribeirão Preto (SP) at 8:30 PM, for the sixth round of the Paulista Championship – Verdão has four wins and one loss in the state tournament.

In physical transition, Lucas Evangelista participated in most of the activities with the group, but with restrictions. Absent from the last match due to knee discomfort, Felipe Anderson also followed a schedule on the field with his teammates.

Meanwhile, Raphael Veiga was at the Football Academy but did not participate in the training as he was released to finalize details of his loan transfer to another club.

After the training, midfielder Marlon Freitas commented on his quick adaptation to the club. The number 27 has played five games for the Greatest Champion of Brazil and has already been praised by Abel in interviews.

“I just want to thank God for the opportunity, I am very happy to be here. I was very well received by everyone, which is very important for adaptation. Today I already feel well adapted and I am sure it will be a great year for us,” he said.

The 30-year-old player also spoke about the team's work evolution this season.

I am sure it will be a promising year, a year of great achievements, but we have to pay the price, we have to have sacrifice and humility,” stated Marlon, who projected the next match in the interior of São Paulo.

“Regardless of who will start the match, it is Palmeiras that will be on the field and we need to honor the club's jersey. It will be a difficult game, I played there and I know the difficulty, but I am sure we will play a great game, with all humility, with a lot of work and sacrifice. We will fight for 90 minutes to come away with the three points,” he concluded.
