According to NY Times, Wolverhampton Wanderers have accepted Crystal Palace’s offer for Jorgen Strand Larsen, valued at £43 million plus £5 million in add-ons.
The Norway forward is expected to undergo a medical later on Sunday ahead of a proposed four and a half year deal at Selhurst Park, with an option to extend by 12 months.
The move would strengthen Palace’s attack as AC Milan continue to work on a deal to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta before Monday’s deadline. Mateta is not in the squad to face Nottingham Forest, with manager Oliver Glasner saying he was not in the right place to play.
Strand Larsen featured on Forest’s four-striker shortlist earlier in the window, while Leeds United also submitted an offer for the 25-year-old.
In the summer window, Newcastle United had bids of £50 million and £55 million rejected by Wolves, who cited his importance and the difficulty of finding a replacement. West Ham United registered interest in December before signing Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe.
Newcastle later brought in Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa, and Wolves tied Strand Larsen to a new five-year contract in September. He joined permanently last summer for €27 million after a 2024-25 loan from Celta Vigo.
Strand Larsen has six goals in all competitions this season, one in the Premier League. Palace are 15th, eight points above the relegation zone. This would be a sizeable outlay, but he could make an immediate impact and would likely allow Mateta to depart.
