Wolverhampton Wanderers Women were honoured at a civic reception on Friday, 15 May after securing promotion to Women's Super League 2. As reported by ExpressAndStar.com, the event recognised a landmark for the club.
The promotion was sealed earlier this month with a 1-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle.

It is the first time in the club's history that Wolves Women have reached Women's Super League 2.
They had previously finished runners-up four times.
The Mayor of Wolverhampton hosted the reception, which brought together players, coaching staff and senior representatives from Wolverhampton Wanderers Women FC.
