Vidéos OneFootball

Spain go to the top of Group B after matchday one after notching their biggest ever EUROs victory. Portugal were undone in the first half, but can take more confidence from an improved second half display.

GOAL SPAIN

That will cap a completely dominant showing. Cristina Martín-Prieto rises highest to powerfully header in from Salma Paralluelo's cross.

Into injury time and Spain are heading towards the top of Group B.

CHNACE PORTUGAL

They're not giving up and Andreia Faria's first-time volley is saved by Nanclares's boot.

Spain register their first shot on target in the second half as Cristina Martín-Prieto's poked shot from close-range is easily saved by Inês Pereira.

CHANCE SPAIN

That was very close to number five for La Roja! Patri Guijarro cuts inside on her left foot and unleashes a rocket towards the bottom corner that skims the post. Not too far away at all!

CLOSE SPAIN

Jana Fernández drags a long-range shot wide of the post. A good strike from distance nonetheless.

CHANCE PORTUGAL

Definitely Portugal's best opening of the game as Ana Capeta beats the Spanish offside trap and volleys over the crossbar.

20 minutes to go and Spain are in another period where they're dominating possession. Will the world champions notch another goal?

Adriana Nanclares has to make a save for the first time this evening as she comfortably holds Diana Silva's deflected effort.

Portugal's Catarina Amado drives into space and keeps going into the Spain penalty area, but she's eventually crowded out and the attack fizzles out.

CLOSE SPAIN

Putellas tries an audacious first-time flick towards goal and it ends up on the roof of the net. That would have been special if it went in!

Olga Carmona grows impatient with Spain's build-up play and lets fly from 30 yards out, but the attempt is high and wide.

The sting has gone out of Spain's game slightly due to several stoppages. This lower tempo period will more likely help Portugal to re-group slightly.

CHANCE SPAIN

More of the same in the second period as Alexia Putellas swivels and shoots wide from inside the area.

SECOND HALF

Here we go for the second 45.

HALF TIME: SPAIN 4-0 PORTUGAL

Spain have been in complete control and hold a commanding lead over Portugal at the break.

GOAL SPAIN

Another quickfire double before the end of the first half and this one was a touch more fortunate. Clàudia Pina's cross caltters off the post and Esther González is waiting to pounce with an easy tap in.

GOAL SPAIN

It's 3-0 as Alexia Putellas takes a wonderful first touch to control Mariona Caldentey's lofted through ball and the midfielder holds her composure to curl into the net.

CHANCE SPAIN

Spain produced another wonderful move to break into the Portuguese penalty area and Clàudia Pina tries to apply the finishing touch, only to be denied by another excellent Pereira save. Top football all round there!

Jéssica Silva finds space in the box but is just offside. Portugal are growing into the contest, can they hit back before half time?

Portugal manage to get forward and Diana Silva's low cross is comfortably dealt with by Spain's defence.

Alexia Putellas is next to have a go at the Portugal goal and she whips a first-time shot towards the corner, but it goes just wide.

Spain get through again and Clàudia Pina fires a low shot straight at Pereira.

CLOSE SPAIN

Esther González burst into the box, shoots towards the bottom corner and forces Inês Pereira into a strong save.

Portugal are trying to get forward into Spain's half, with Jéssica Silva the main outlet. It's proving a tough task, however, as La Roja remain in near complete control.

GOAL SPAIN!

It's 2-0 and we're only seven minutes in. Vicky López applies a tap-in to a well-worked Spanish move into the Portugal penalty box. A fantastic team goal.

GOAL SPAIN!

After just one minute, Spain take the lead as Olga Carmona picks out Esther González, who controls and finishes low into the net.

KICK OFF

Spain vs Portugal is underway!

We're just moments away from kick-off as the teams head out on to the pitch.

FULL TIME: BELGIUM 0-1 ITALY

Italy take all three points thanks to Caruso's well-taken first-half goal as Belgium failed to generate any kind of reply.

Time is running out for Belgium with just a couple of minutes of injury time remaining. All too comfortable for Italy in the closing stages.

CLOSE ITALY

Cambiaghi's glancing header looks like it's going to nestle into the bottom corner before bouncing wide. Italy are ending the game well here.

9 minutes of injury time for Belgium vs Italy! Is there enough time for the Red Flames to push for a leveller?

Here are the starting XIs for tonight's second Group B game between Spain and Portugal.

Portugal: Inês Pereira, Catarina Amado, Andreia Jacinto, Andreia Norton, Jéssica Silva, Tatiana Pinto, Fátima Pinto, Carole Costa, Diana Silva, Diana Gomes, Beatriz Fonseca

CLOSE ITALY!

A big chance to wrap up all three points there as Michela Cambiaghi races through on goal and shoots wide.

Not long to go now and the pace of the game has slowed due to substitutions and the drinks break. Ideal for Italy, and a definite barrier for Belgium's comeback attempt.

Oooh, Jarne Teulings goes down in the area and has a quick glance at the referee. No penalty for that one though!

CHANCE ITALY

Caruso again has another strike from 20-yards out and it flies low past the post. Very close!

30 minutes to go and Italy, currently, look very comfortable with their one-goal advantage. Can Belgium muster any kind of response?

Wullaert connects with a lofted ball into the box and heads straight at Giuliani.

Belgium have had a fair chunk of the ball early on in the second half but are struggling to find a way through Italy's backline.

SECOND HALF

Italy hold a slender lead over Belgium heading into the second half in Sion.

HALF TIME: BELGIUM 0-1 ITALY

Caruso's excellent finish is the difference at the break. Following a cagey start, the game opened up and it was Italy that struck first in the closing minutes.

The goal stands, 1-0 Italy.

Or is it....VAR check for handball in the build up.

GOAL ITALY!

After Belgium fail to convert from their small spell of dominance, Italy race down the other end of the pitch and Caruso curls in a thumping strike just inside the area. A fantastic finish.

Belgium are ending the first half positively and Jill Janssens clips an effort just over the crossbar from 20-yards out.

BIG CHANCE BELGIUM!

Wullaert controls well in the area and tries to find the bottom corner from a tight angle but shoots into the side netting. The best chance of the half so far!

Another deflected shot from Itay's Sofia Cantore that is easily held by Lichtfus. Defences certainly on top with just over five minutes to go before half time.

CHANCE ITALY

Italy work the ball well down the right wing and Emma Severini rises to head a whipped cross just over the crossbar. Will there be a first-half opener in Sion?

CHANCE BELGIUM

The contest is starting to open up and it's Belgium's turn to have a go at goal as Mariam Toloba's low attempt is pushed behind by Giuliani.

CHANCE ITALY

The first real opening of the game comes for Italy after some neat passing around the area. Caruso finds half a yard to get her shot away to force Lichtfus into action.

Arianna Caruso shoots from just outside the area, and her effort is deflected towards goal, but Lisa Lichtfus is on hand to save.

Belgium and Italy seem happy to keep the tempo low in the opening exchanges and it's been pretty cagey inside the opening 15 minutes.

Plenty of corners and free-kicks going into the box early on for both sides. No clear-cut chances at either end so far, however.

Tessa Wullaert has the first attempt at goal, but it's a tame effort and comfortably saved by Laura Giuliani.

KICK OFF

We're underway in Group B.

The teams are heading out onto the pitch and kick off is just moments away.

Just 15 minutes to go until Group B gets started at the Stade Tourbillon.

Belgium and Italy also met in the 2022 EURO group stage. The Red Flames won that match 1-0 thanks to Tine De Caigny's second-half goal.

Tessa Wullaert, Belgium's Women's all-time leading scorer, starts this evening and will be hoping to recreate some of this magic from the 2022 EURO group stages.

Here's how Belgium and Italy line up for the first match of Group B.
