Attention turns to the Women’s Super League season after Euro 2025, and below we provide a full list of friendlies for teams competing in the 2025-26 WSL season.
Teams are already in training ahead of the new campaign. However, players who participated in international football this summer will enjoy a short summer break before they return to their clubs.
Lauren James, Chloe Kelly, Alessia Russo and the rest of the England players in the Women’s Super League will be hoping to follow their Euro 2025 success with big seasons in the WSL.
Kelly is one of several big names to switch clubs over the summer. After a loan stint with Arsenal last season, she has returned to the club on a permanent deal from Manchester City.
She is coming off an excellent summer at Euro 2025 and she is 7/4 with UK betting websites to win the Sports Personality of the Year award.
The first WSL club in action this summer will be the London City Lionesses on Friday, August 1st.
Not all of the teams in the Women’s Super League have announced their pre-season schedule. However, below we name all of the friendlies that have been confirmed so far, and this list will be updated once new games are announced.

The Women’s Super League season begins on the evening of Friday, September 5th, 2025.
Defending champions Chelsea host Manchester City in the opening game of the season.
The fixtures for the 2025-26 Women’s Super League season were revealed on Friday, July 25th.
This will be the final season where there are just 12 teams in the Women’s Super League, as the division will expand to 14 teams for the 2026-27 campaign.
The top two teams from WSL2 will be promoted at the end of the current campaign, while the bottom-placed WSL side will face the third-placed WSL2 team to determine the final team in the top-flight for 2026-27.
