Germany recorded another big win at the start of the 2027 Women’s World Cup qualification with a 4-0 victory away at Norway. Two goals in the injury-time of the first-half put DFB-Frauen into a favorable position as they led by three at half-time.
Vivien Endemann was one of the star performers in the 5-0 win over Slovenia in Dresden, and she also fashioned the first big chance in this game. However, the opening goal came from Elisa Senß with the Eintracht Frankfurt scoring early goals in back-to-back games for Germany.
Carlotta Wamser doubled the visitors' lead before Endemann sealed the win after a brilliant pass from another Frankfurt star, Nicole Anyomi. Endemann scored or assisted five of Germany’s nine goals in this international window.
By contrast, Jule Brand was uncharacteristically quiet in the two games, but she did score Germany’s last goal after the break in a dominant victory for Christian Wück’s side. Ann-Katrin Berger had to make some saves to keep another clean sheet, although it could’ve been more than four at the other end as well.
Despite the absence of the injured duo Klara Bühl and Selina Cerci, Germany produced a flawless performance in what seemed the hardest fixture in the group on paper. Slovenia beat Austria 1-0 in the other Group A4 match as Germany comfortably sit top with six points and a +9 goal difference.
