World Cup 2026: Black Stars to set up camp at Bryant University
The Ghana Football Association has officially announced Bryant University as the Black Stars’ training base for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Ghana’s national team will establish their base camp in Providence, Rhode Island, for the duration of the tournament.
The decision was confirmed by the Ghana Football Association, which stated that the Black Stars will stay in Providence throughout the tournament, to be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
Bryant University, located in Rhode Island, will provide the Ghanaian squad with access to its modern facilities, including a 43,000-square-foot indoor complex and a state-of-the-art recovery and wellness center. The campus pitches, renowned for their superb maintenance, will offer the perfect setting for both physical and tactical preparations.
Training sessions will be closed to the public, but community activities aimed at young players are expected to be announced soon, further strengthening the bond between the national team and the local community.
A fifth World Cup appearance on the horizon
The 2026 World Cup will mark Ghana’s fifth appearance at a FIFA World Cup finals. The Black Stars, who famously reached the quarterfinals in 2010, are aiming to once again make history for African football.
Drawn in Group L, Ghana will face Panama on June 17 in Toronto, England on June 23 in Boston, and Croatia on June 27 in Philadelphia.
