World Cup 2026 to Chile: Vozinha signs for Colo-Colo | OneFootball

After several weeks of rumours and speculation, the future of cult-favourite Vozinha has finally been decided.

The experienced 40-year-old goalkeeper has moved to Chile and signed for Colo-Colo, where he was unveiled as the latest addition to the Cacique on Monday evening.

It should be noted that the former GD Chaves goalkeeper had already been confirmed as the Chilean club's new signing at the end of July, but the final stage of the talks came close to an unexpected twist, according to some international transfer sources, which pointed to a possible hijack by Berkane of Morocco.

However, that did not materialise and Vozinha arrived in Chile this Monday, where he was welcomed by thousands of fans at the local airport. According to the Chilean press, the Cabo Verde goalkeeper has signed a six-month contract, until the end of 2026, with an option to extend it for a further year.

Josimar José Évora Dias (known in football as Vozinha ) was one of the standout performers for the Tubarões Azuis at the World Cup 2026. He impressed in the clash against Spain, which ended goalless and earned him millions of followers thanks to his high-level display.
