World Cup winners to receive NBA-style championship rings as well as medals | OneFootball

FIFA will award championship rings to the 2026 World Cup winners alongside medals and the trophy, with Spain facing Argentina in Sunday’s final at 21:00.

FIFA said on Thursday that the rings will be presented for the first time in the competition’s history, echoing traditions in the NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL.

At the post-match ceremony, the winning captain and head coach will be given provisional versions of the new ring.

The remaining 30 rings, for players and staff, will be personalised before being handed over formally.

Each ring will feature the World Cup trophy on one face, with the other tailored to the colours and identity of the champions’ country.

In total 2,026 rings will be produced, with 30 reserved for the winners and 1,996 sold worldwide as official products under FIFA licence. Pricing has not yet been disclosed.
