World footballer as role model: who inspired Pavlovic | OneFootball

Aleksandar Pavlovic has developed excellently since his debut for FC Bayern. The midfielder is one of the best in his profession, not least because he has been inspired by the really big players

When Thomas Tuchel helped Pavlovic to make his debut, almost out of necessity and defiance, nobody thought that the young midfielder, who was still somewhat slight at the time, would be a regular for both Bayern and the national team a few years later

But that is exactly what happened, because Pavlovic worked hard on himself and coped well with a number of setbacks. Injuries and illnesses only threw him off track for a short time

In an interview with the club’s own members‘ magazine „51“, Pavlovic stated that he had taken a closer look at Rodri, among others, in the past. „In recent years, Rodri has shaped the six-man position at Manchester City and has even become a world footballer. Rodri is a world-class six-man, even if he has unfortunately had some bad luck with injuries recently. Sergio Busquets was also a real role model for me as a child. At Barcelona, he was indispensable in the position for years. Busquets was very strong both with and without the ball, was always playable and always had an eye on his surroundings. He was also very stable defensively and covered a lot of metres on the pitch. A real figurehead,“ said the Bayern star

These days, however, Pavlovic is much more focused on himself. „I’m concentrating more on my own game and what I can improve. I think I’m on the right track. I can see how I’m improving from game to game and I want to keep doing exactly the same. There’s always room for improvement,“ said the international. If he stays fit and works on one or two other elements, it’s quite realistic that the Bayern star could leave his mark on an era.
