Xabi Alonso sends public message to struggling Real Madrid star | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has late this week forwarded a message of encouragement to a member of his squad struggling for game time at present.

The player in question? Endrick.

Youngster Endrick is of course in the midst of what has been an altogether trying start to the campaign from an individual standpoint.

After missing the opening weeks of the term whilst recovering from injury, the Brazilian has since failed to establish himself in the plans of new manager Xabi Alonso.

In fact, with fellow starlet Gonzalo García having been favoured to Endrick in recent fixtures, the latter is yet to take to the pitch on a single occasion in 2025/26.

Speaking to the media in his latest pre-match press conference, the subject of his young attacker’s woes was in turn put to Real Madrid’s headmaster once more.

And Alonso made use of the opportunity to send a message of encouragement Endrick’s way:

“Endrick? He is also coming back from a long-term injury. He has an eye for goal, great shot, great ball striking. He will get his chances. His moment will come.”
