Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has responded to claims that attacking star Vinícius Jr. was left frustrated with his substitution during the club’s latest outing.
Real Madrid were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to Kazakhstan for a Champions League meeting with Kairat.
Wide-man Vinícius was for his part afforded his latest starting berth in the clash, from his berth on the left wing.
En route to an eventual 5-0 Blancos romp, though, the Brazilian was hauled off during the 2nd-half.
As much gave rise to claims that Vinícius, not for the first time this season, was spotted looking angry in making his way from the field of play in Almaty.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, such suggestions were in turn put to manager Xabi Alonso.
And Real Madrid’s headmaster went on to assure:
“Vinícius Jr. wasn’t happy? That’s not true, he didn’t complain when he came off, not true.”
