Viljami Sinisalo made key saves after the restart to keep the Bhoys steady as Motherwell threatened.

After half time, substitute Tomas Cvancara gave the hosts a focal point and stretched the visiting defence.

Daizen Maeda drew a foul in the box (68.). VAR confirmed the spot kick. Emmanuel Longelo was sent off (71.), and Cvancara converted from the spot (72.).

Callum Ward then denied Maeda from close range (75.). Moments later, Yang lashed in the clincher high from the centre of the area (79.).

The Bhoys registered six shots on target from 13 attempts. Motherwell produced three efforts on target from 12 attempts. Callum Slattery, who assisted the opener, leads the Premiership assists on eight.

Next, the Bhoys visit Dundee United. Motherwell host Hibernian.
