Yasmim, 29, is a free agent after mutually ending her Real Madrid deal on Sunday and has offered to return to Corinthians, but the club are not moving forward at present, according to Meu Timao.
The decision allows her to undergo treatment for her injury close to family in Brazil, and the Spanish club thanked her for two seasons and sent best wishes.
She is awaiting surgery on a complete anterior cruciate ligament tear in her right knee, expected next week after a period to let the collateral ligament heal. The CBF will cover the operation costs.
Before formalising her Madrid departure, she contacted Corinthians to gauge a comeback. Her proposal was to complete rehabilitation at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, using the club’s facilities for physiotherapy, strength work and a managed transition back to the pitch.
The plan was to rejoin the squad once rehab ended. With a minimum recovery timeline of six months, Corinthians chose not to progress talks and she is not expected to submit a new proposal for now.
Even so, teams from São Paulo and Minas Gerais, and clubs abroad, particularly in Mexico, have made contact to assess her situation.
Between 2017 and 2024, she made 236 appearances for Corinthians, scored 18 goals, provided 51 assists and won 17 titles.
