Yoane Wissa headed in to bring DR Congo level against Portugal on their World Cup bow, the country’s first ever goal at the finals.
Portugal had taken the lead when João Neves scored with a header in the sixth minute.
In first-half stoppage time, Wissa restored parity with a pinpoint header into the top corner. The goal was recorded at 45 minutes.
The move began with a short corner on the right as Ngal'ayel Mukau and Arthur Masuaku exchanged passes, before Masuaku’s inswinging cross reached the far post. Left unmarked in the heart of the Portuguese box, the former Lorient forward powered his header beyond Diogo Costa.
All to play for in Group K.
