Austrian team top group in style

Austria's U17 team has advanced to the knockout stage of the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar after a perfect group stage with three wins in three matches! Among their ranks are nine players from the Red Bull Football Academy!

Numerous UEFA Youth League players involved

From captain Jakob Pokorny and Johannes Moser, who scored twice, to Dominik Dobis (Man of the Match against Mali and goalscorer against New Zealand) – the young talents from our co-operation partners are making a significant impact for the Austrian national team.

The following nine players from the Red Bull Football Academy are part of the Austrian U17 national team:

As group winners, coach Hermann Stadler's team beat Saudi Arabia (1-0), Mali (3-0) and New Zealand (4-1). They will now face Tunisia in the round of 32 on Saturday, November 15th at 16:45 CET. The match – like all of the Austrian U17 team's games at the World Cup – will be broadcast live on Sky Sport Austria.
