It was a quiet week of international duty for Chelsea’s players – with many of them currently on the treatment table nursing injuries.
Only six Blues’ featured for their countries, but it was Estevao and Jamie Gittens who particularly impressed.
Estevao scored twice as Brazil beat South Korea 5-0 in a friendly. The winger has impressed to no end in his short period at Chelsea so far and is already loved by fans. He scored the last minute winner against Liverpool just before the international break.
Jamie Gittens played the full 90 minutes and scored a goal in England’s Under-21s’ 4-0 win over Moldova. The 21-year-old has had a tough start to life at Chelsea so this will certainly help his confidence.
Malo Gusto played 90 minutes for France as they beat Azerbaijan 3-0 in World Cup qualifying. They are now top of their group after three games played and are already five points clear of Ukraine, who are second.
Josh Acheampong played the full game in the England Under-21 win over Moldova, which was a Euro’s qualification game. England are third in their group but have played at least a game less than every other country in the group.
Enzo Fernandez started in midfield as Argentina beat Venezuela 1-0 in a friendly. The South American side have already qualified for the World Cup and are now just playing friendlies before the flagship event next year.
Tyrique George started on the bench and made a cameo in the England Under-21 win over Moldova.
