Yuri Alberto has entered a select group at Corinthians after scoring in the 2-0 Supercopa do Brasil win over Flamengo. According to Meu Timao, he has now scored in three different finals for the club, a run achieved in consecutive finals.
The sequence began in March 2025. At Allianz Parque he hit the only goal against Palmeiras in the first leg of the Paulistão, a strike that proved decisive after a 0-0 return at Neo Química Arena.
In December, a 0-0 draw with Vasco da Gama in Itaquera left Corinthians needing victory at the Maracanã to win the Copa do Brasil. The number nine opened the scoring in Rio and then set up Memphis Depay to seal a 2-1 triumph and the club’s fourth crown.
At Mané Garrincha in Brasília, Gabriel Paulista put Corinthians ahead, then Yuri Alberto chipped goalkeeper Rossi in the final act and finished into an empty net to confirm a second Supercopa title. It was his third goal of 2026, taking him clear as the club’s leading scorer this year.
The other members of that group are Sócrates, Marcelinho Carioca, Deivid and Viola, all of whom achieved their streaks in successive deciders. Viola managed it across four finals, while Marcelinho struck in eight between 1994 and 2001.
Yuri Alberto will look to add to his tally on Thursday at 20:30 when Corinthians host Capivariano in the sixth round of the Campeonato Paulista at Neo Química Arena.
