Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma has been named in Mali’s squad for AFCON 2025, despite not playing this season.
According to L'Équipe, the 29-year-old is again the subject of an internal procedure after inhaling nitrous oxide last weekend, having been suspended last year for the same reason.

He was left out by Spurs before August’s UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain. Two months later he underwent ankle surgery following an injury sustained in a World Cup qualifier.
The finals run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026 in Morocco.
Tom Saintfiet’s Eagles, featuring eight players from Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, open on 22 December against Zambia, then face Morocco and Comoros.
