Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes call to persuade Alvaro Morata on AC Milan transfer

AC Milan are not giving up on their transfer interest in Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

The Italian side are keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2024/25 season and Morata has emerged as an experienced target.

Morata netted 15 La Liga goals for Los Rojiblancos last season but his long term position at the club is unclear.

His current contract runs until 2026, with no talks open on an extension, as he turns 33 in October.

Despite Morata’s recent indication that he wants to stay at Atletico Madrid until he wins a major title, the interest has persisted, and AC Milan have now unleashed their secret weapon.

As per reports from Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, club advisor and former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has called Morata, to assess his interest in a deal.

There is no current indication of Morata wanting to depart from the Estadio Metropolitano, but if AC Milan continue to push, Atletico Madrid are open to reasonable offers for their No.19.
