Igor Zubeldia sustained a muscle problem in the back of his left thigh and was forced off early in the second half, casting doubt over his place in the 18 April cup final against Atlético de Madrid.
According to Diario Vasco, Jon Gorrotxategi was replaced at half-time by Sucic, who later scored.
During another rapid transition from the home side, the Azkoitia-born centre-back pulled up and moved gingerly. Remiro made a fine save to prevent a fourth, while Zubeldia stayed down, then he signalled for a change and Caleta-Car replaced him in the 53rd minute.
On the bench he sat with an ice pack applied, a distraught figure that heightened fears he could miss the final.
He has roughly two weeks to recover and the issue looked like a muscle tear, though the extent will only be known after tests. Post-match, Matarazzo said it was too early to gauge the severity, lamented that Zubeldia could not finish and hoped he might return within a couple of weeks.
